Girls many times are shy or don't know what to talk about that will hold a boy's interest. Sometimes its fear of what their friends might say that keep them from talking to a boy. There are a lot of different reasons why girls don't talk to or respond well to boys.
None of those reasons should ever stop you from acknowledging the people around you with a smile and encouraging them with a kind word. People everywhere are hungry for someone to genuinely care about them.
Find the things you have in common with a person you want to talk to. If you do some research as to what subjects a person likes then you'll know the things that interest them and will be able to start the conversation as well as keep it moving. You should always be prepared having something ready that's interesting to talk about. It takes a little work to plan ahead but after a while it'll come naturally to you. Don't be shy at starting conversations. You can begin with a smile while passing by and move on to just saying a few words. After a few times girls will respond to your efforts, even if at first they weren't kind.
Use the material you have researched to promote a conversation by asking questions or making comments when the conversation is slow. Being a good listener will make you the one person they will look forward to talking with. As you listen you will learn more about that person to use in the next conversation. Don't let much time go by between the times you speak to that person; keep the relationship flowing. Don't go overboard either so they feel you have invaded their space. The more freedom a person feels when you are with them the more open your conversations become, resulting in a better and more stable friendship. As you show a genuine interest in their life, you can begin to talk about the things that interest you and they will want to listen.
Think of girls as just someone to become friends with first, show respect for them and they will learn to trust you. Starting with a successful friendship leads to deeper commitments.
If you're not saved then go to our Salvation Prayer Page and give your heart to the Lord. Pray and talk to Jesus about who your friends should be. Friends that don't know God can keep you from receiving the blessings and prosperity that God has in store for you.
1Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
How To Handle Rejection
If someone makes fun of you or says something to offend you, just ignore it and be as kind and well mannered as you know how. Never let anyone detour your good efforts. It's their inadequacy, not yours.
Romans 12:17-19 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
Always keep in mind that God made you special and unique. There's only one you and God has great plans for your life. When you pray and let Jesus be Lord over the events of each day, His blessings will be upon you no matter what any else says or does.
1Timothy 4:11-12 Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
Scripture gives warning to those who look down on or tries to hurt one of God's children. Our protective angel takes our problems to God, where he makes decisions how to solve the situation while giving us strength and power to endure until we overcome the trouble.
Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
God's delivering power is based on how we act when we go through tough times.
Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
We should always run to God for answers instead of running from God. Even if we've done wrong we should repent and do right toward people to regain God's favor.
3John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
If you do good to others, those with the right heart and motives will find you. You will gain the reputation of someone easy to talk to, strong and trustworthy. They are the ones that will be your true friends when times get rough.
I'm praying for you that you will find happiness and success in all you do.
