6 Seals (Revelation 6) Major plagues overtake the earth; death, famine, earthquakes, the sun becomes black, the moon turns red as blood, stars fall to earth and every island and mountain moves. People hide in the caves and rocks because of God's wrath. God loves people now, but there is coming a time when he'll not show mercy, but wrath toward those people who wouldn't accept what Jesus (his only son) suffered and died for. 7th Seal (Revelation 8 & 9) (Consists of 7 Trumpets or Plagues) There is a half hour silence in heaven because of the severity of these plagues. -
Hail and fire mingled with blood rains down.
A third of the earth and a third trees were burned up.
All the green grass was burned up. -
A third of the sea turns to blood.
A third of sea creatures die.
A third of the ships are destroyed. A third of the waters and rivers became bitter.
Many died from using the water. A third of each the sun, moon and stars was smitten, severely affected.
The light from each of them was decreased by a third.
A third of the daylight itself was withdrawn.
A third of the night was kept from shining. (Then it's) "Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!" (Revelation 8:13) God allows these last three plagues to be delivered by using demonic power upon the people. It's ironic that the three Plagues of Woe, that God's uses to torture and kill so many ungodly people, are from the very master (Satan) that those people have chosen to serve. The First Woe: (Revelation 9:1-12) The shaft of Abyss is opened and the smoke darkens the sun and sky. Out of the smoke comes locusts that looked like horses prepared for battle with sounds from their wings like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. For five months they will torture those who don't have the seal of God on their foreheads. The pain will be like the sting of a scorpion. People will long to die, but they will not be allowed during this five months. The Second Woe: (Revelation 9:13-16) It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number. (200,000,000) (See Revelation 9:17-19 for their description) These were demonic angels who were cast out of heaven at the same time Satan was (Isaiah 14:12-15, Luke 10:18) but not allowed to roam the earth like the other demon. Imagine their anger when they finally are released. The Third Woe: (Revelation 10:1-4) Then an angel appears with 7 Thunders but what he said was not allowed to be written down for anyone to ever read. What made these 7 plagues so severe that they couldn't even be recorded? Remember these last three Plagues of Woe, which includes 7 within the 3rd Woe, are of demonic origin using demonic power. Given the evil that Satan produces through people that we see in the news and what film makers so proudly produce, we really don't want to imagine the real torment from the events that are coming. People aren't to know all the works of Satan, but as soon as a person drops into hell they find out. Romans 16:19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. Bowls (Revelation 15 & 16) Plagues For Total Destruction Revelation 15:1,6-7 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues; last, because with them God's wrath is completed. Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. 1. Ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast 2. The sea turns into blood and every living thing in the sea dies. 3. The rivers and springs of water become blood. For they have shed the blood of God's holy people, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve." 4. The sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. 5. The fifth bowl was poured out on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed God because of their pains and sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. 6. Drying up of the River Euphrates in preparation for the Kings of the East to come down on Israel for the Battle of Armageddon. The three demonic spirits coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the mouth of the beast and the mouth of the false prophet performing signs (wonders, miracles), which go out to the kings of the earth and the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 7. God's Final Plague (Revelation 16:17-21) Out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" - There came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder.
- A severe earthquake like never before since mankind has been on earth.
- Jerusalem split into three parts.
- The cities of the nations collapsed.
- Every island fled away.
- No mountains could not be found.
- Hailstones from the sky, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people.
They cursed God because the plague was so terrible. God Is Just And Right In Sending The Plagues Revelation 16:5, 7 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say "You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who were;...And I heard the altar respond: "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments." God describes himself many times as a jealous god. At this time we see his love and mercy, but there's coming a time when God's patience will be finished with people who choose sin over his great plan of salvation. He loves all people but he hates sin. He want's people to repent and receive his Son as their lord. Even during the Tribulation the plagues are poured out in measures that are designed to give a person a chance to repent. God doesn't cause our hardships (they come through the curse after the fall of Adam) but He has always tried to use our problems and trials to draw us closer to him.(See: Hebrews 12:4-11) The Condition Of The Earth After God's Wrath Revelation 18 Reveals the condition of the earth when God's finishes his wrath. The city Babylon is the worldly man-made systems, financial, social etc. that encompass the whole earth. (Also See: Isaiah 24) The Mark Of The Beast (666) Part of the Antichrist's rules is for everyone to take his number which belongs to his name. Those who accepts his mark he will own. He'll have total control forever over anyone who accepts his mark. Revelation 13:16-18 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666. Could anyone refuse the "Mark of the Beast" especially when they won't repent and receive salvation now at a time when the Holy Spirit is so actively drawing them? Could a mother resist when her child needs medicine or a father when there's no food in the house? Revelation 14:9-11 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name." When someone takes the "Mark of the Beast" it automatically dooms that person to an eternal hell? Where is Hell?
