In Christ - Knowing Our Position In God's Family Brings Continual Peace   Print
Written by Cherie

nowing where we stand in Christ give us the authority and strength to overcome every situation in our daily lives.

Romans 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Death is a state of being without God. Satan chose death when he sinned, that's why everything that is touched by evil leads to death. Death has to do with torment and punishment which Satan received when he was thrown out of heaven. When we are in sin without salvation in Christ we walk in death the same as Satan does. It's the light of God through Jesus that gives us life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We receive our just reward for the choices we make in life, either to live in sin or take Jesus as lord, because God made a way to escape sin and death through the crucifixion and resurrection of his Son. He expects us to learn about it and receive his mercy.

Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Condemnation has to do with punishment. Children of God are forgiven of their sins, removing all condemnation and bringing freedom.

Romans 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Each person is the only one who can remove their-self from the hand of God. Nothing has the ability to stop a person from prayer and worship. God gave us freedom of choice and will back us in our choice until the end. Even if that end leads us to Hell. A person can follow someone else as they lead them out of God's presence but it is their choice and will receive the consequences for their actions.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit.

How can we ever lose when we belong to God and his Spirit is inside us giving us instructions to win in every way.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

When our sins are forgiven God instantly cleanses us and forgets all our wrong doing. He changes us by a new birth, which only He can do. Then He receives us into His family ready to learn and grow in His ways.

2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Through salvation God has brought us back into His presence just as Adam was before he ate the forbidden fruit. When we do something wrong and ask forgiveness, learning His way to live, we remain in His righteousness. Christians aren't perfect, their forgiven. They must learn and make changes in their lives, which brings them to a more holy way of living to please God.

Galatians 3:26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Being a son of God gives us all the rights of that inheritance, knowledge, wisdom, power and whatever else we need to continue victoriously in His family. God is love, there is no way you're going to offend him when you stand strong, taking the authority he expects you to use. He wants us to learn our rights and fully enforce everyone of them. He prepared them full of His power in order for us to win over all the battles in life.

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Salvation is the only form of true freedom for the whole person, spirit, soul and body. It changes us here on earth and prepares us for all eternity. Our yoke came when Adam gave his authority to Satan when he sinned. (Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God)

Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Loving others and using faith that comes from God's Word are the two things that God responds to most.

Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

The Bible is full of promises and blessings. We are to reach out and take them by learning what belongs to us and producing the obedience attached to each promise. Then God will see to it that those promises are manifested in our life.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

This is just a seal to keep us safe in the family of God till we can learn and grow. This event is not the fullness of the Holy Spirit. He is to bring us into the maturity that God desires us to have by making us a candidate for the in-filling or fullness of God's Spirit, which is a separate event that takes place only after salvation. The fulness is a gift from God. Anyone who rejects God's power for improving their life can never be in the perfect will of the Lord. They will loose many promises and blessings for their disobedience. Ignorance will not be an excuse in the eyes of God. Too many people have already desired Him and received. We must humble ourselves and produce faith to receive in the same way as everyone has received, from the early church till present times. Anyone who believe the Holy Spirit Baptism can be received any other way has not read: (Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:7-8)

Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

We have the ability to live in the heavenly realm even though we are still in an earthly body through faith gained from the Word of God.

Ephesians 2:7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

The bride of Christ will be God's pride and joy for all eternity, he will receive glory and honor for what he has done for us.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God has work, great plans and blessings ready for every person on earth. It is so important to walk close to Him, following his guidance in order to receive his best.

Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

What we receive from God depends mainly on how we treat others.

Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh.

Those of us who are in Christ we are to put our complete hope and confidence in God rather then in ourselves or the systems of this world, then we are in position to receive miraculous answers for our prayers.

Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Also see: 1 Corinthians 9:24, Galatians 5:7, Hebrews 12:1)

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

If you're not receiving peace then speak this scripture, believing it will come because it is a promise of God to us.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 2:9-10 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.

Stand strong in your place against every problem or evil attack that comes into your life. Satan can't stand in the presence of Christ who defeated him over 2000 years ago. He can't stand in the presence of a person who knows his or her place in Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

We are the rapture generation. Even though it's the hardest time to live on earth because Satan's time is short and he's doing all he can to destroy people, it's the best time for Christians because God's power has been poured out to individuals in a stronger way than ever before.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Always find something to be thankful for, especially in the hard times. When you are obedient in giving thanks to God for the good things he has done He rewards us with supernatural blessings concerning the deliverance of our situation.

1 Timothy 1:14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 3:13 Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:9 (God) who has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.

God has always been looking for people who will be obedient, love and worship him in accordance with His Word. When we choose to be in Christ we are fulfilling God's desire, in return he pours out his love into our lives.

2 Timothy 2:1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Grace is love. Everything we do should be done in the kind of love that reflects the unconditional love of God.

2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

It's better to be persecuted (suffer trials) for Christ sake than for living in sin. In Christ we always have a way out so we should never fear. (1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.)

Philemon 1:6 I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

The promises we enjoy for living in Christ and making him lord over all that we say and do has great benefits. Rise above every trial that Satan brings and put him to flight.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Let Satan know where you stand in God's family and that Jesus gave you all authority over anything he tries to do, to you or your loved ones. God puts him under your feet when you live, act and speak according to His Word. So remind him daily where he lives and keep him there.

Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
